VERIFY Version 2.0 announced
Blacksburg, VA - VTLS is proud to announce a major new release of VERIFY, developed in a partnership with the Tri-College Library Consortium of Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges. The product now adds the following features/benefits:
- Ability to support different workflows per member library.
- Support for multiple license agreements.
- Maintains detailed administrative information for each member library.
- Easily supported, fully web-based interface with all functions available through a web browser.
- Fully supports all languages; via UNICODE (UTF-8) character set support.
- Supports and runs on either an open source database (MySQL) or Oracle.
- Builds upon the DLF Electronic Resource Management Initiative specifications.
- Supports ONIX for Serials for data exchange.
- Plus much more!
VERIFY will work as a standalone product, or can be interfaced to existing ILS systems, serial vendor systems and/or link resolver databases in order to pre-populate and share data between systems as an on-going process.
The new product is being initially demonstrated to the profession for the first time at the ALA Conference in San Antonio. Installation in production environments is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2006.
