Dr. Vinod Chachra to Speak at Special Library Conference 2008

Blacksburg, VA – VTLS’ Chairman and CEO Dr. Vinod Chachra has been invited to speak as a featured presenter at this year’s Special Library Conference (SLib) 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Chachra’s presentation will focus on Institutional Repositories and Discovery Systems. Chachra, a world-wide recognized lecturer in library automation systems and software, will speak on Wednesday, February 20th at 8:30 am at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. An audio file of his presentation will be available on the VTLS web site after the conference.

SLib is organized by PETRONAS Petroleum Resource Centre in collaboration with the Librarians’ Association of Malaysia (PPM- Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia). This year’s theme is Knowledge Communities: Rising to the Performance Challenges. Organizers hope the conference will be another platform to discuss, collaborate and network with professional colleagues from all over the world. The conference bills itself as a ‘must-attend’, not only for librarians, information professionals and knowledge managers but also global colleagues who are directly or indirectly in knowledge communities and organizations.
