Blacksburg, VA. - The Kansas City Public Library has selected VTLS to provide Drupal development and support services. These services are being offered by VTLS under the name of Vorpal Solutions. VTLS will work with KCPL staff to develop several microsites, including one on the Missouri-Kansas Conflict that will provide access to thousands of pages of Civil War primary sources. VTLS Inc. will also develop custom search interfaces. In addition, VTLS will enhance website functionality; provide select graphic design and supply overall support for the library’s existing websites, all within Drupal.

“The Kansas City Public Library chose VTLS for our Drupal development and support needs because they know from experience how complex library websites are to build,” said Jordan Fields, Digital Library Services Manager. “There are many Drupal development companies to choose from, but few understand everything that goes into creating a digital library and most are not equipped to meet library-specific requirements. The VTLS team put together a strong proposal that made them an easy choice for our library”

“VTLS is looking forward to collaborating with KCPL, an existing VTLS VITAL customer, on Drupal projects,” said Vinod Chachra, President and CEO of VTLS Inc. “The library world is embracing Drupal as a preferred solution and we are glad to be able to provide the expertise to help KCPL in building a state of the art website for their historical collections.”
