VTLS Announces New International VIRTUA, VITAL and RFID Customers

Blacksburg, VA - While many library automation vendors are busy dealing with new owners and the pain of consolidation, VTLS Inc. continues to deliver impressive new sales around the globe of all three of its major products: VIRTUA, VITAL and FASTRAC. Since ALA Summer 2006, there are a total of eleven new VIRTUA sales, three new VITAL sales and two new Fastrac (RFID) sales.

The eleven new VIRTUA sales include:

  1. Université Paris 7 - Denis Diderot, part of the prestigious University of Paris system in France (separate release to follow))
  2. UCL-Mont-Godinne (part of UCL Consortium Database), Belgium
  3. Johor Bahru City Council Public Library, Malaysia
  4. Islamic Banking and Finance Inst Sdn Bhd (IBFIM), Malaysia
  5. Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building, Russia
  6. Etisalat College of Engineering . Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
  7. Muban Chom Bung Rajabhat University, Thailand
  8. Thailand Institute for Scientific and Technological Research, Thailand
  9. Suratthani Rajabhat University, Thailand
  10. University of Jos, Nigeria
  11. Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria

University of Jos and Ahmadu Bello University are the first two universities in Nigeria to select VIRTUA as a part of a larger VIRTUA network being implemented in West Africa in the first half of 2007
