Blacksburg, VA - VTLS Inc. is proud to announce six new staff members. These new employees bring a breadth of expertise in the areas of project management, testing, software development and customer and technical support. The new employees will help service the needs of VTLS' growing customer base and help address the research and development goals of the company.
Denise Rahmes - Denise rejoins VTLS as a Project Manager after working nine years with Hewlett-Packard Company in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she was an account support consultant responsible for all sales growth initiatives in the district. Prior to HP, Denise worked at VTLS from 1989-1998 serving in many capacities including Technical Analyst, Manager of Server Development and Quality Control Analyst. Denise has a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from Virginia Tech and is a certified HP Mission Critical Specialist.
Zhalgas Adilov - Zhalgas joins VTLS after graduating from Virginia Tech a little over a year ago where he studied computer science, science & technology and history. Zhalgas is knowledgeable in several programming languages including SQL, ASP, Java and XML. He also caught the company.s eye with his proficiency in Russian and Kazak - languages spoken in an area of the world where VTLS already has a customer base. Zhalgas moved to the United States in 1999 from Kazakhstan and is now the newest member to the VTLS test team as a Software Testing Analyst.
Theresa Klunk - Proficient in several languages, Theresa brings an impressive list of skills and experience to the VTLS team as a new Technical Analyst in Customer Support. Theresa is fluent in Spanish and can speak and write Mandarin Chinese and has some knowledge of Italian. In additional to proficiency in spoken languages, Theresa is fluent with many programming languages. In her previous position with MOOG, Inc. Theresa developed a SQL database to comply with auditing standards, created training guides and wrote scripts to increase compatibility between systems. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a double major in Computer Science and Spanish receiving the Dean's Award for Undergraduate Research in Computer Science in Spring 2004.
Jamie Smith - Jamie joins VTLS as a Technical Analyst in Customer Support after working three years at Allstate Insurance Company as an Application Developer in Roanoke, Virginia. At Allstate, he consulted with clients, developed applications using multiple programming languages, coordinated the development and delivery of reports, trained staff on software and design, and managed a team of employees to develop the first committee web page that effectively enhanced communication among users. Jamie is working towards MCSC and MCDBA certification. He already possesses excellent verbal and oratory skills that are sure to be useful in helping clients understand the technical aspects of VTLS' software and products. Graduating with a Business Information Technology degree from Virginia Tech in 2002, Jamie has developed software for Volvo in Greensboro, North Carolina and Piscura and Associates, American Express Financial in Pulaski, Virginia.
Matt Doyle - As a Software Engineer, Matt joins VTLS skilled in several programming languages. Prior to joining the company, Matt worked as a Web Developer for Rowe Industries in Elliston, Virginia. His responsibilities there included the development of internal web sites, providing access to millions of records. He also maintained data models and structures for efficient reporting. Matt comes with a wealth of experience from his previous positions at KEEN Media in Atlanta, Georgia and other Virginia corporations. Matt holds a BS in Computer Science and Technology from Radford University where he graduated in 2004.
Tony Stratton - Tony joins VTLS as a Technical Analyst in Customer Support. As a graduate from Virginia Tech in Business Information Technology, his professional interests include computer hardware, data analysis, web development, computer support and information technology. Tony was a Software Systems Analyst for Innovative Computer Solutions in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he built and maintained computers, provided commercial hardware and software support, designed Crystal Reports and conducted cross-database extraction and import. In Blacksburg, Tony designed, constructed and maintained the web sites for The Sickle Moon and Southwest Virginia Dietetic Association and had his own computer technical assistance business during college.
