VTLS has been delivering systems around the world for decades, and we have perfected our installation routines to provide complete installations via Internet. To make installations even easier for you, we have embedded Oracle in both Virtua and VITAL, allowing one-step installation of the application and DBMS.
Configuration and Customization
With some systems, configuring the system to meet your local needs requires the involvement of the supplier's technical staff. VTLS products are designed to make the configuration process easy. Everything from setting circulation policies to determine the look and layout of your web interface can be set easily using our profiling interfaces. The extensive parameterization of our software products means that you can customize how the software looks and how it works - without involving our programmers or technicians. We take care of your initial setup and teach you how to make changes yourself - and stay ready to help you when you need it.
Software Testing
Testing forms an essential part of every installation, but the methodology used in testing varies considerably from customer to customer. In some cases, customers develop their own testing plan and criteria and prefer to perform testing without direct involvement from VTLS. In other cases, customers prefer VTLS to be involved, sometimes to the point of having staff available through the testing process. Either way, we will be ready to help.
